KOEKE GRANT
The Trust make a payment to all shareholders and beneficiaries of whanau trusts aged 60 years and over annually in November. The amount of the payment is currently set at $300.00 for those under 75, and $500.00 for those 75 and over.
KOEKE HAUORA GRANT
The trust also continues to provide financial assistance to koeke aged 60 and over by contributing to their health costs and subsidising prescription glasses, dental work and hearing aids. Grants are for a maximum of $750.00 and only one grant is payable to any shareholder in a 12-month period.
DISCRETIONARY GRANTS
The trustees allocate an annual fund for discretionary grants. Payment is subject to completion of an application form and approval from the Trustees/ Applications will be considered for sporting representation, kapa haka etc
EDUCATION GRANTS
The trustees wish to assist owners and descendants in building a base of skilled Māori students by contributing to course costs at tertiary educational institutions on a NZQA or equivalent course. An annual amount will be set aside by the trustees and additional funding may be available from the Māori Education Trust, with whom the trust as a strategic relationship. Shareholders and their descendants who whakapapa to Paengaroa North K Trust shareholders can apply. Grant applications will be made available online, and are open from early February, and close 30 April each year.
