Kusabs Lasike Limited is a Rotorua chartered accounting practice formed in 2009 with the directors being Andrew Kusabs and Lau Lasike. Prior to the formation of the company, the accounting practice was under Andrew as a sole practitioner for many years. Andrew became a chartered accountant in 1962 and obtained his Certificate of Public Practice in 1971. Andrew retired from the practice in 2017 after 55 years’ service in the accountancy profession. Kusabs Lasike Limited continues under Lau Lasike’s directorship.

Lau Lasike

Director - FCA

Lau Lasike, Chartered Accountant and Fellow member of the CAANZ, joined the accounting practice of Andrew Kusabs in November 1990. He became a partner in 2009 when the company Kusabs Lasike Limited was formed. Lau was the first Tongan to graduate Bachelor of Management Studies from Waikato University. He has worked with a wide variety of clients over various professions. He has extensive experience with Maori Trusts and Incorporations, primary sector and Not-For-Profit Organisations. He is currently Chairman of Te Waiariki Purea Trust and Trustee on the Rotorua Community Law Centre Trust and the Rotorua Community Hospice Trust.

Jill Allely

Office Manager - CA

Jill joined the practice in March 2011, having been with Hulton Patchell Limited for over 20 years as Practice Manager and Manager of Accounting Services . Jill has extensive knowledge of accounting practices and procedures for Maori Authorities. She also looks after our school clients, farming and small to medium businesses.

Richard Maáfu

Accounting team member - Bachelor of Management Studies Majoring in Accounting

Richard joined the practice in 2002. Richard has completed his Bachelor of Management Studies from Waikato University. Richard has experience with a variety of business entities, specialising in farming and fishing clients.

Nikki Johnston

Accounting team member

Nikki was with the Inland Revenue Department for over twenty years. She has an in-depth knowledge of the workings of IRD and taxation. She joined the practice in April 2012 and works with many of our small to medium accounting clients and Maori Authorities.

Megan Makan

Maori Share Register Administrator & Computer Support

Megan has been with the practice for over twenty years. Megan looks after the Māori share register and has extensive knowledge of owners successions, Māori Land Court procedures with shares and Māori family relationships. She also looks after our computer software and development.

Makuini Warbrick

Accounting team member - Bachelor of Business Majoring in Accounting

Makuini joined the firm in May 2018 after completing her accounting degree with Massey University. Makuini works with our Māori authority clients both in the accounting and secretarial areas. Her iwi affiliations are Tuhourangi Ngati Wahiao, Ngati Whakaue, Ngati Rangitihi and Ngati Tuwharetoa.

Logan Rosanoski

Accounts Administrator

Logan joined us in August 2018 from a law firm and has become the face of our office. She is our Receptionist/ Account clerk and the person you go to if you want things done.

Joanne Peterson

Accounting team member - Associate Chartered Accountant

Joanne joined the practice in June 2023 after 30+ years experience in another Chartered Accountancy firm in Rotorua. Joanne has experience with a variety of small to medium business entities.
