About our Education Grants
The trustees of Paengaroa North K Trust (Paengaroa North B4B & Paengaroa North K (Aggregated)) wish to assist owners and descendants in building a base of skilled Māori students by contributing to course costs at tertiary educational institutions on a NZQA or equivalent course. An annual amount will be set aside by the trustees and additional funding may be available from the Māori Education Trust, with whom the trust as a strategic relationship. Shareholders and their descendants who whakapapa to Paengaroa North K Trust shareholders can apply. Grant applications will be made available online, and are open from early February and close 30 April each year.

The trustees of Paengaroa North K Trust encourage our Māori learners to apply for the trust’s annual education grant. Education is a treasured foundation that strengthens individuals, whānau, and our wider community and the trust has committed funds to education grants as part of our wider distribution policy since 2017. These grants are available to support you on your learning journey and to help you achieve your goals. By investing in education today, we help grow a strong and thriving Māori future for generations to come. We combine our financial support with the Māori Education Trust and selected universities to make a meaningful contribution to your education costs. We encourage you to apply with confidence. Your aspirations matter, and your success benefits us all.

How to Apply
Thank you for taking the time to apply. Before you start filling out the application form please make sure to have the following ready:
- Confirmation of bank account number
- Bank statement or screenshot of your bank details that shows both your full name and bank account number
- Whakapapa declaration form
- Please download and complete our whakapapa declaration form confirming your connection to Paengaroa North K Trust:
- Proof of enrolment
- Acceptance letter, email, or communication from the university or institution
- Receipt of fees paid
- This can include a receipt or statement of fees paid from the institution or StudyLink, but please note that an invoice cannot serve as proof of payment
